Past: Mikkel was born in Germany but his family soon moved to Denmark where his father's family was, in and around Copenhagen. Mikkel wasn't particularly wanted and often ignored and neglected by his parents. His older sister and brother took care of him from the time he was a baby. Mikkel was often locked in his room as a child to keep him quiet and out of sight. The family had a lot more adults than children, and most of the children were girls. Though he had an older brother, he quickly latched on to his only male cousin, Rik, who was two years older. It wasn't long before Mikkel discovered why his cousin was so quiet and hid from adults. Mikkel felt helpless and frustrated with the family who did nothing to help Rik, even though most of them knew of the abuse. Mikkel started to rebel against his family and ran away from his own home several times to stay with Rik. Foolishly thinking he could protect his older cousin. His uncle started to lash out at Mikkel and often hit him, starting when he was 8 years old, when he tried to stop the abuse of his older cousin.
Mikkel played around with most of the instruments Rik could play and became decent on the guitar, piano and several other instruments but didn't have the discipline to stay with them enough to develop his skills. Mikkel was in and out of school, often trapped in his uncle's house and forbidden from attending school or leaving the house. His cousin started to date Ollie and often Mikkel would tag along or meet them where they hung out. For awhile he had a crush on Ollie simply because Rik did but it soon faded. Part of this rough patch was his brother trying to move away and the strife in the family that the teen couldn't process. Mikkel started stripping, at 14, in order to have money to help Rik, including taking him to the hospital when his parents wouldn't. He had stolen his older brother's identity card and passport and lied about his age and gender to get work. This is also the same time when his brother Ansgar fled to get free of the family and the abuse. Losing his brother had a terrible impact on Mikkel.
Mikkel, 15, was heartbroken when Rik disappeared, fleeing from his family. He was too young to leave and started to hang around with Ollie who also suffered from Rik being so far away. Mikkel learned how to take care of cars from Ollie, one of the few things he managed to stick to and have any interest in. Soon, Ollie moved on too as his racing and stunt career blossomed. Mikkel, alone and lonely, decided that as soon as he could he was going to find Rik and become a rockstar too. He started drawing and writing poetry to fill up his time and even tried his hand at tattooing which he's interested in as well. He started dancing more often to hoard money to get the papers to travel and leave Denmark, intending to join Rik in Sweden. With Rik gone, Rik's father/Mikkel's uncle turned on the young teen, abusing him to try and find out where Rik had run to. The aggression over Rik's absence escalated over time leading to several incidents of significant physical abuse that left Mikkel unable to dance and more than once suffering injuries that might have caused at least one concussion. Mikkel doesn't know because he wasn't taken to the doctor for his injuries.
A few weeks before his 18th birthday, Rik and Ollie sent enough money to fill in the money that Mikkel had hoarded to let the youngest of the family flee. He joined Rik's band on tour in Los Angeles. Without any other abilities and a desire to continue caring for himself, Mikkel started taking jobs in clubs along the LA strip and the surrounding areas.
Young and impulsive, he's trying to figure out what to do with himself but hoping to become famous like his older cousin. While he really enjoys stripping, Mikkel dreams of joining a band or becoming an artist, either a traditional one or a tattoo artist.

***Often from an improperly healed broken nose when he was a child.

He hates most of his childhood and wasn't given very many toys. He carries around a toy wooden car his brother made for him in school when he was young.

***Bridge of nose, cheekbones, sometimes all the way to the ears.. really getting him his chest flushes too.

***He might not win but he definitely started it.

***Finding Ollie and Rik trapped in the car when a huge mound of snow fell on it and stuck the doors shut. They couldn't see out and Mikkel couldn't see in and was worried so he went to get Ollie's parents to help dig out the car. They found Ollie and Rik half dressed and sleeping inside much to their embarrassment and Mikkel's amusement.

***He doesn't have many. Ollie's father taking the three Soren boys and Ollie out to teach them to canoe and fish is high on the list.

***Anything about his brother being a drunken goofball.

***Falling and twisting his ankle when he had just started dancing. It was embarrassing at the club and just as bad when his parents drilled him about how it happened.
