The large Viking nodded and wore an expression of stoicism. Not moving but keeping his sharp eyes on the Soeren boy making sure his hand was steady and nothing went wrong with the design. This would be a good bonding ritual and Harald knew that if Lars was in the room with them right now he'd be giggling and making lewd gestures to his brother. This was because the brat was hot and Harald seemed oblivious to it all.
"One day we throw axes together. Outside hotel. You want?"
Mikkel was a professional, or rather treated the craft as if he was one. He had apprenticed for a couple years and it showed in his steady hand and clean lines. The Dane really wanted to flirt with the Norwegian but knew, for now, he had to stay focused on the task at hand.
"I've thrown knives." Mikkel mentions while working on the tattoo. He hadn't thrown axes before. "Rik said their bassist is an axe thrower though."
He wasn't opposed to spending more time with the big Norwegian and smiled. "You could teach me how."
Mikkel caught himself glancing up at Harald every time he paused to get more ink or clean the tattoo gun.
"Knives? This is good. We throw together maybe. Bassist, you and me outside hotel."
Harald will be happy to teach Mikkel how to throw an axe because it was one of his passions among guitar playing, thrashing out aggressive riffs on stage and yell into the crowds too. The man lived for the energy on stage and the raw emotion it gave off during the performances.
"Will teach."
The Viking then stared down at the work Mikkel was doing and nodded. He was pleased how it was going so far.
"I think there are a few here that throw knives." Mikkel had heard that from Rik but he wasn't sure who aside from Vars who he had met once before.
"Whenever you want." Mikkel was happy to spend more time with Harald though he was trying to focus on the art at hand. Messing up a tattoo wouldn't be good, especially a Norse one.
Harald nodded and then sat back still in his chair keeping his arm straight and still. This was the part he needed to not move too much because Mikkel was working on the intricate parts of the tattoo. The huge Viking's eyes kept flitting downwards to admire the skill from the younger man.
"Soeren boy ever thrown axe on fire? That is fun. Did try at carnival once."
"I think Rik's bassist does but there are a lot of Vikings here." Mikkel smiled and then thought about the tall blonde who had the huge knife on his back. Surely he threw knives too.
He tried not to laugh while doing the intricate line work, waiting until he paused to speak. "I haven't but I saw my brother throw a person into a fire once."
"Rik's bassist. Need to meet. We throw axes together."
Harald was pleased there were other true Vikings amongst the tour group. Being so stoic was unusual for a rock star but then the Norwegian was not glam like his brother but instead more into the death metal scene. These two were very different and meant different behaviours.
"Not like glitter like brother does. He obsessed with hairspray and girly things. Love him still though."
Because the huge man would pound anyone's face into the dirt who hurt Lars. That or they would find a huge axe thrown into their chest.
"Brother throw person into fire? What did the man do?"
"I can introduce you." Mikkel didn't know Vars well, or really at all. They had met briefly only, but he could at least show Harald who he was.
"I like feminine and hairspray but not glitter. That's too much." Mikkel was settling calmly into tattooing and talking. Harald's presence felt good, safe.
"Insulted him while my brother was drunk." Mikkel shrugged because his brother was a crazy drunk.
Harald nodded and knew that meeting this bassist would be a good thing. Lars often said that the stoic Viking needed to get out and meet more people on the tour. Mikkel liked hairspray but not glitter. The guitarist made a note of this as he nodded.
"My brother like both. Also make-up and girly clothes. Lars is feminine man."
If this wasn't already noticeable. The two brothers were very opposite but they both loved each other even if they fought and argued like brothers did. Harald nodded at Mikkel's brother being angry enough to set someone on fire.
"Would do the same if angry. Burn someone or throw axe."
"When we're done with your arm." Mikkel could see the two becoming good friends despite the ridiculous size difference.
"I like being a woman sometimes but I'm not as girly." Whichbmay or may not be the truth depending on who was looking. Mikkel did often wear Lipstick and blush among other things that added to his femininity. To be honest, Mikkel and his own brother were very different in personality too.
"Ansgar is sweet. Getting him angry like that takes a lot."
Harald wanted to meet this bassist who threw blades like him. Mikkel liked being a girl as well as being a boy. This didn't phase the huge Viking as his own brother was very feminine and often came across as a girly boy dressed in feminine clothes, make-up and perfume.
"Brother is a girly man. Feminine. Likes perfume, make-up. No one make fun or they get smashed."
The Norwegian was adament in this. The same could be said for Mikkel and anyone who picked on him when he chose to be a girl.
Harald did not flinch when Mikkel kissed his cheek because he assumed the Dane was just being friendly in his own way which didn't bother the big man at all. He did wonder about the words sweetheart though. It caused a small chuckle from Harald.
"Soeren boy think me sweetheart? Brother more sweet and tart."
The Viking gave Mikkel a smile because Lars was most definitely a tart.
Even Mikkel saw the adorable in they way Harald seemed to be even more oblivious than Sigurd about when someone was flirting with him.
"Yes, sweetheart." He knew Harald wasn't good with English so switched to Danish for a moment since many of the Nordic languages shared words or could be understood because of similarities. "Søde? Sweetheart. You're caring, protective, nice."
Mikkel glanced up at the bigger man blushing again before he went back to the tattoo. He needed to finish shading it and wanted the axes to look as realistic as possible. "Is there a specific deity you follow?"
Mikkel thought it might be nice to add that rune or symbol between the crossed axes. It would make it look better, maybe. He didn't know if Harald was as religious as the Danes were, possibly, probably.
